In the fall of 2016, four men came together to form a male quartet that would become known as Zion's Way Quartet. These individuals collectively had over one hundred years experience in Southern Gospel Music. Even though each man was involved in other ministries, including working in their home churches, family ministries, and communities, their love for this music brought these guys together to form a music ministry that focuses on encouraging the discouraged Christian, uplifting the church body, and also being a vessel to win the lost.
Zion's Way Quartet today consists of Kenneth Steadman, Jason Oxenrider, Rodney Homan, and Jeff King. Kenneth Steadman sings tenor for the group and resides in Cleveland, MS. Kenneth has been singing Southern Gospel for many years, having traveled with such groups as Living Sonlight, New Liberty Quartet, and for many years with his father and brothers with The Steadman Brothers Quartet. Kenneth is what you would consider a full voice tenor, that has a great range, but focuses on blend and harmony. Folks have grown to love Kenneth wherever he has had the opportunity to sing.
Jason Oxenrider, from Lumberton, MS, sings lead and also baritone for Zion's Way. For nearly thirty years, Jason traveled with his family group, The 'Riders. Even though his background is mostly singing in a family group, Jason always loved the male four part harmony. When the opportunity to start Zion's Way came about, Jason jumped at the chance to sing in a quartet!!
Also singing some lead and baritone for Zion's Way is Rodney Homan, from Gordo, AL. Rodney is no stranger to Gospel Music either. Rodney has traveled with such groups as The Heartmen Quartet, From The Ashes. He also owned and managed The Capstone Quartet for a number of years. Rodney has a wonderful testimony that he shares at concerts and church services. Rodney has a heart for people and lives what he sings about!!
Rounding out the quartet is Jeff King, from Brookhaven, MS. Jeff sings bass for the group. For over two decades, Jeff traveled with Gloryland Quartet. Jeff is very active in his home church, as well as in his community. Jeff is a retired educator and loves to work with young people as well. Jeff has a rich bass voice but can also sing the melody with a pure lead voice. Jeff also manages Zion's Way, keeping the guys straight, which is sometimes a tough job!!
Zion's Way would love the opportunity to share in song at your church service or concert event. They are focused on being a vessel that uplifts the believer, and also tries to win the lost. The quartet always counts it a privilege to sing about their Lord. God is so good!!
Thank you for considering Zion's Way Quartet for a service or upcoming event in your area. May God richly bless you!!
